The contract with Atlantis Health Plan allows for the non-renewal of the contract by either party provided several requirements are met. Exercising the option of non-renewal does not constitute a termination. The requirements include:

• Either party may exercise a right of non-renewal at the expiration of the contract period.
• If there is no specific expiration date, this date is considered to be January 1st occurring after the contract has been in effect for one year.
• A non-renewal decision by either party requires a sixty (60) day notice.
• Care to members will continue for a transition period of up to ninety (90) and postpartum care subject to provider agreement.
